Understanding Instantaneous and Delayed Safety Contacts

The two instantaneous NO safety contacts change state without the configured off-delay. The second pair of NO contacts is delay-on de-energisation: its opening is delayed according to the selected device setting and the conditions described in the Pilz manual. The delay is set on the relay, rather than being an unlimited external timing configuration. The documented semiconductor output Y32 is for signalling and must not be used as the safety switching output.
A delayed contact can be appropriate where a validated safety concept requires a controlled stopping sequence. It does not by itself make a machine safe. The required stop function, coast-down time, external contactors, circuit monitoring, reset logic and safety performance must be engineered and validated for the complete machine.

Typical Applications and Suitability Checks

• Emergency-stop and access-gate monitoring circuits with validated single- or dual-channel wiring.
• Machine protection schemes where an engineered delay-on-de-energisation output is required.
• Safety gates, light-curtain or related safety-device interfaces when the actual wiring design matches the OEM manual.
• Panel repairs, OEM machine builds and industrial maintenance procurement that specify exact part 751105.

Before selection, confirm the terminal style, 24V DC supply, instantaneous/timed contact distribution, selected delay range, contact load category, required safety architecture and cabinet protection. Installation and commissioning should be performed by competent personnel using the manufacturer instructions.

PNOZ s5 C 751105 Versus PNOZ s5 750105

The two models share the main output function but are different order numbers with different connection hardware. A maintenance replacement should match the installed device and the validated wiring documentation; do not substitute the two solely because the contact totals match.

Uttarakhand Ordering, Stock and Delivery

The national product listing includes a pincode delivery checker. Enter the intended Uttarakhand pincode, verify quantity and confirm the current dispatch plan. The observed exact-product page states delivery within 7 days for orders within listed stock and 4–6 weeks for quantities above listed stock; the general business policy contains a different over-stock estimate, so the exact ETA must be confirmed before publication and purchase. Do not assume physical warehouse stock in Uttarakhand or guaranteed next-day delivery.

Buyer FAQs

1. Is 751105 a standalone safety relay or an expansion module?

PILZ identifies PNOZ s5 C 751105 as a standalone PNOZsigma safety relay, not merely a contact-expansion module.

2. Does the relay have four instantaneous NO safety contacts?

No. It has two instantaneous NO safety contacts and two delayed NO safety contacts. The distinction matters for stop-sequence design.

3. What is the operating supply voltage?

The manufacturer specifies a 24V DC supply and 4W DC power consumption for this exact part.

4. What is the selectable delay range?

The off-delay can be selected over the manufacturer-stated 0.04–300 second range; the setting and tolerances must be checked against the manual.

5. Is 751105 fitted with spring or screw terminals?

It uses plug-in spring-loaded terminals. The screw-terminal version is a separate order number, 750105.

6. Can Y32 be used as a safety output?

No. The manufacturer manual identifies Y32 as a semiconductor auxiliary/signalling output, not for safety circuits.

7. Can the relay monitor an emergency stop or a safety gate?

PILZ lists E-STOP and safety-gate monitoring among intended uses, provided the complete wiring and safety-function assessment meet the manual.

8. Does the time delay guarantee safe machine deceleration?

No. A suitable stop concept, measured stopping time and complete machine-safety validation remain necessary.

9. Can it operate with a manual or automatic start?

Yes, depending on the OEM-supported wiring configuration. The selected method must match the validated safety design.

10. What is the unit width?

The manufacturer lists a 22.5mm module width, with 100mm height and 120mm depth.

11. What is the price on Indus MegaMart?

The observed national listing shows ₹42,849 including GST. Check the live exact-SKU page for the final payable amount.

12. Can I order for a Uttarakhand installation?

Use the national listing’s pincode checker and confirm the exact quantity and ETA. A city-specific warehouse or guaranteed dispatch is not established.

13. What if the quantity exceeds available stock?

The national page shows a longer 4–6 week estimate for this situation; confirm the actual fulfilment plan with Indus MegaMart.
