STANLEY STMT89938-8B 13mm Ratcheting Spanner in Ulhasnagar

Order STMT89938-8B — Confirm the Pack and Current Price

The manufacturer describes one STMT89938-8B spanner as an individual product. Indus Mega Mart's current checkout listing, however, sells a pack containing 10 identical 13mm spanners. This is not a mixed-size spanner set. For procurement or workshop replenishment, compare quotations by the actual quantity of tools supplied rather than comparing a ten-piece pack with another seller's single-piece price.

Specifications of the 13mm Ratcheting Spanner

Practical Advantage of the 5° Ratchet Movement

The ratcheting ring end advances in 5° increments, which helps when there is insufficient room for a wider swing. Once seated on a suitable fastener, the wrench can be moved through repeated operating strokes without lifting and repositioning its ring end after every turn. This is particularly useful near a machine housing, bracket or confined workshop assembly.
The open end offers an alternative engagement method when the ring cannot be fitted over the fastener. Maxi-Drive is designed to improve contact and help reduce rounding, provided the head or nut is in good condition and the wrench is the correct size. The full-polished steel surface is also straightforward to wipe down after ordinary maintenance work.

Choosing the Correct Fastener and Application

This tool is intended for a nut or bolt head measuring 13mm across flats. The marking does not indicate a 13mm thread diameter. A common M8 hex fastener can have a 13mm head under some specifications, but fastener-head sizes vary by standard and application; always measure or consult equipment documentation rather than buying by thread size alone.
Relevant uses include workshop equipment maintenance, light mechanical assemblies, automotive service and routine tightening or loosening of compatible fittings where a 13mm hex head is specified. The ring end needs enough surrounding space to sit fully on the head, and the handle must have clearance for its 5° movement.
For seized or damaged fasteners, avoid excessive ratchet force, hammer blows or an improvised extension pipe. Use a suitable loosening method instead. When a job specifies a final torque, apply it with a calibrated torque wrench; this hand spanner does not measure torque. It is not an impact tool.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Is STMT89938-8B a 13mm metric ratcheting spanner?

Yes. STANLEY identifies STMT89938-8B as its 13mm ratcheting spanner. The official product information specifies chrome-vanadium construction, a 5° increment, full-polished finishing and the Maxi-Drive design.

2. How many spanners are included in an Indus MegaMart order pack?

The current product offer shows a pack of 10 identical 13mm STMT89938-8B spanners. The manufacturer's single-tool inclusion is separate from Indus MegaMart's selling pack; check the live purchase quantity before checkout.

3. What does 13mm mean: head width or threaded bolt size?

It refers to the wrench opening for a fastener measuring 13mm across its flats, not to the fastener's thread diameter. Check the actual bolt head or nut before choosing this model.

4. What is the benefit of a 5° working increment?

It lets the ratcheting ring operate through relatively small handle movements, which can reduce repeated lifting and repositioning during manual fastening in confined spaces.

5. Can this spanner replace a torque wrench?

No. It is suitable for manual turning of correctly sized fasteners but does not measure the final torque. Use a calibrated torque wrench when a specified tightening torque must be achieved.

6. Can an order be placed when stock is below the required quantity?

Yes. Indus MegaMart accepts orders and payment for quantities above current available stock, including zero-stock cases. The stated delivery period for that situation is 7–14 days.

7. How can I check pricing and delivery for Ulhasnagar?
