STANLEY STMT87431-8 Adjustable Spanner 150mm Chrome Plated in Rishikesh

Order STMT87431-8 — Price, GST and Buying Quantity

The model to match on your purchase order is STMT87431-8, the chrome-plated 150mm version. STANLEY lists one adjustable spanner as the contents of its individual product. A manufacturer's carton quantity or another seller's minimum order is not necessarily Indus MegaMart's selling unit. Confirm the selected number of tools, the GST-inclusive payable total and any additional shipping charges on the exact product listing.
The listing provides a price with a tax breakup, an Add to Cart action and a delivery-pincode check. For a procurement requirement covering several technicians, compare quotations using the same number of spanners and the same tax basis.

STANLEY STMT87431-8 Specifications

Jaw opening and wrench length are different measurements. The 150mm dimension identifies the nominal tool length. The 19.3mm dimension is the maximum opening between its adjustable jaws; it is not a bolt-thread diameter or a torque rating.

Why Choose the Compact 6-Inch Chrome-Plated Version?

This wrench gives a maintenance technician one adjustable tool for different correctly sized hexagonal fasteners instead of requiring a separate open-end spanner for every occasional task. Its relatively compact 150mm format is useful in a portable service kit and where a longer handle could interfere with nearby equipment. Common examples include equipment covers, small mounting brackets, accessible service fittings and routine workshop assembly. These examples assume the fastener is within the jaw's usable range and the tool can seat fully.
The chrome-plated surface is intended to help resist corrosion during normal care; it does not mean the tool can be left wet or used where electrical insulation is required. The built-in tension spring stabilises the movable jaw, and the etched markings make approximate adjustment easier. For final fit, however, the jaws still need to be closed snugly against the fastener flats.

How to Check Fit and Use the Adjustable Jaw

Measure the fastener head across its flats, not by thread diameter. Adjust the knurled wheel until the jaws fit closely around a suitably shaped head, seat the full jaw faces against the flats and apply controlled hand force. Stop if the wrench slips or the nut starts to round. Avoid hammering, handle extensions, prying or overloading the movable jaw.
For repeated high-force work on one fastener size, choose a properly fitting ring or combination spanner. If the equipment specifies a tightening torque, use a calibrated torque wrench; STMT87431-8 is not a torque-measuring tool.

Selection Limits and Comparison with Other Sizes

The 19.3mm jaw opening is the key capacity limit. A larger stated head width cannot be accommodated merely because this is a 6-inch wrench. A listing that describes approximately 44.5mm as jaw capacity should not be used to select this model: it is inconsistent with the exact-model STANLEY jaw-opening specification.
The 150mm chrome-plated STMT87431-8 should also not be confused with STANLEY's 150mm phosphate-finish STMT74893-8. These are different product numbers and finishes. If your work requires more jaw opening or handle reach, compare the correctly identified 200mm or 250mm wrench variants and verify their own specifications rather than transferring those capacities to this model.
The smooth adjustable jaws are designed for suitable fastener flats, not for toothed gripping of round pipe. This is neither a ratcheting spanner nor an electrically insulated/VDE tool. Choose the appropriate certified insulated tool where electrical protection is required, and check the job's access and torque requirements independently.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the maximum jaw opening on STMT87431-8?

The exact-model STANLEY catalogue specifies 19.3mm. Measure the width across the fastener-head flats and check surrounding clearance; do not confuse jaw opening with overall wrench length.

2. Is the wrench 150mm or 152.4mm long?

STANLEY identifies the model as a nominal 150mm (6-inch) adjustable spanner. Six inches mathematically equals 152.4mm, but that conversion should not replace the manufacturer's nominal 150mm model identification.

3. Is the finish chrome plated or phosphate?

Chrome plated. STMT87431-8 has a polished chrome head and chrome-plated body. STMT74893-8 is a separate STANLEY 150mm phosphate-finish variant.

4. Does 44.5mm describe its jaw opening?

No. The verified maximum jaw opening is 19.3mm. A larger dimension on another seller's listing should not be treated as fitment capacity without exact-model manufacturer confirmation.

5. Does one order contain six spanners?

STANLEY's individual product includes one spanner, while the manufacturer chart lists a six-piece trade MOQ/carton reference. Indus MegaMart's selected checkout quantity and selling unit determine the number of tools in your order; confirm the order summary before paying.

6. Can I order the spanner when the page shows zero stock?

Yes. Under Indus MegaMart's policy, orders and payment are accepted even at zero available stock. The stated delivery period in that situation is 7–14 days, with address-specific service details to be checked on the listing.

7. Can this tool be used to set a specific torque or on live electrical equipment?

No. It is a manual adjustable spanner, not a calibrated torque wrench or a certified insulated electrical tool. Use equipment-appropriate tools and follow the relevant safety procedure.

8. How do I check price, GST and delivery for Rishikesh?

Open the exact STMT87431-8 listing, review the current GST-inclusive price and tax breakup, confirm the selected number of spanners, and enter your Rishikesh delivery pincode. The company's GST number appears on generated purchase invoices.
