STANLEY 72-067 Technical Specifications

The dimensional values follow the STANLEY-branded product drawing. Buyers checking clearance around the ring heads should refer to the illustrated dimensions along with the measurements.

How the 32×36mm Deep-Offset Design Helps

Two Metric Ring Sizes for Hexagonal Fasteners

STANLEY 72-067 has a 32 mm ring at one end and a 36 mm ring at the other. Each end is intended for a matching metric hexagonal nut or bolt head.
Measure the fastener across its opposite flat faces (AF) before selecting the tool. The wrench size refers to the fastener head dimension, not necessarily the nominal thread diameter of the bolt.
The double-ended arrangement reduces the need to carry two separate fixed-size ring spanners when both dimensions are required.

45° Deep Offset for Improved Access

In some mechanical assemblies, a hexagonal fastener sits close to a raised surface, housing or surrounding structural component. A straight spanner may not provide comfortable hand clearance.
The 45° deep-offset geometry positions the handle away from the ring-head working plane, helping the operator reach appropriately sized fasteners while providing clearance for hand movement.
The available clearance still depends on the position of the fastener, nearby obstructions and the space required to turn the handle.

Bi-Hexagonal Ring Profile

The 12-point bi-hexagonal profile provides multiple engagement orientations around a matching hexagonal fastener. This can make initial positioning convenient where the handle has limited room to move.
For secure operation, the ring must fit the fastener correctly and seat fully before force is applied. A badly worn or rounded fastener may require a different removal method.

Suitable Industrial Applications

The STANLEY 72-067 can be considered for manual fastening work involving compatible 32 mm or 36 mm hexagonal nuts and bolt heads, including:

• Mechanical equipment servicing and scheduled maintenance
• Pump, gearbox and machinery assembly work
• Heavy-vehicle and workshop maintenance where the required fastener size matches
• Plant maintenance involving obstructed or raised fastening points
• General industrial equipment installation and repair

For example, a maintenance technician working on a machinery housing may prefer a deep-offset ring spanner when a nearby component prevents a straight handle from clearing the work surface.
Suitability depends on the actual fastener dimensions, access geometry and tightening requirements—not simply on the industry or equipment type.

Selecting Deep Offset Instead of Other Spanner Types

A deep-offset ring spanner is useful when the fastener can be reached by a closed ring, but the operator needs the handle positioned away from nearby obstructions.
A shallow-offset or straight ring spanner may be sufficient where clearance is generous. An open-ended spanner may be necessary where a closed ring cannot pass over the fastening point, while a ratcheting spanner can be more convenient when repeated turning in a restricted arc is important.
STANLEY 72-067 is a conventional manual ring spanner. It is not a ratcheting, striking or powered impact tool.
Before purchase, confirm both the 32×36 mm size requirement and the available space for the deep-offset handle and ring heads.

Important Fitment and Usage Considerations

For proper selection and operation:

• Use the 32 mm end only on a correctly matching 32 mm across-flats hexagonal fastener, and the 36 mm end on its matching size.
• Make sure the ring can be positioned completely over the fastener.
• Check that the offset and handle can move without contacting adjacent machinery or structures.
• Avoid using the spanner on incompatible profiles such as Torx, square or spline fasteners.
• Do not strike the tool with a hammer or use extension pipes to obtain uncontrolled leverage.
• Use an appropriate calibrated torque-control tool where a specified tightening torque is required.

The spanner's length and robust construction do not establish a particular approved tightening torque. Always follow the machinery or fastener manufacturer's tightening requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What size fasteners does STANLEY 72-067 fit?

It is designed for matching 32 mm and 36 mm hexagonal nuts and bolt heads, measured across the flat faces. Check the fastener head dimension rather than relying only on the bolt's nominal thread size.

2. What is the purpose of the deep-offset design?

The deep offset positions the handle away from the ring-head plane, which can improve hand and tool clearance around raised or obstructed fastening points. Actual suitability depends on the available working space.

3. What material is used in STANLEY 72-067?

The product is listed with chrome vanadium steel construction and a matt finish. Its double-ended ring heads have a 12-point bi-hexagonal profile.

4. Can STANLEY 72-067 be used as an impact or slogging spanner?

No. It is intended for conventional manual wrench operation. Applications requiring hammer strikes or powered impact tools need equipment specifically designed for those loads.

5. Is STANLEY 72-067 a single spanner or a complete spanner set?

The product is an individual double-ended ring spanner providing two wrench sizes, 32 mm and 36 mm. Review the listed selling quantity when placing your order.

6. Can I order the spanner in Rewari if the displayed available stock is insufficient?

Yes. Indus MegaMart accepts orders and payments even when the required quantity exceeds available stock or stock is zero. The applicable delivery window is 7–14 days in those cases, subject to confirmation of delivery serviceability.

7. How can I check the current price and order this product for Rewari?
