STANLEY STMT89943-8B 18mm Ratcheting Spanner in Madhya Pradesh - Pack of 10

Price, pack and ordering in Madhya Pradesh

Indus MegaMart's listing for STMT89943-8B is for ten 18mm ratcheting spanners in one listed pack. It is not an assorted-size set: all ten pieces are the same 18mm model. When comparing sellers, check whether their displayed price is for one tool, a minimum-quantity order or a ten-piece pack. The current price and GST breakdown are shown on the exact product purchase page.
For team toolkits and repeat workshop requirements, estimate the number of 18mm spanners needed across maintenance crews, workbenches and service bays before selecting the order quantity. Indus MegaMart purchase invoices include the company's GST number, supporting normal business documentation. Review the quantity and pack information on the listing before payment.

STANLEY STMT89943-8B specifications

The 5° increment describes the small swing needed to advance the ratchet mechanism; it is not a torque rating. This is a manual fastening tool, not a calibrated torque wrench.

Why the two-end design matters

The open jaw is useful when you need to approach an 18mm hex head from the side or start positioning the tool around a fastener. Once the ring end can seat fully, its ratcheting mechanism helps turn the fastener through repeated small movements without lifting the head off after every stroke. That is particularly useful when nearby panels, brackets or equipment frames restrict handle movement.
The reversible function allows the operator to select the working direction for tightening or loosening. The Maxi-Drive contact profile is intended to reduce fastener-corner rounding when the tool is properly seated. It cannot compensate for an incorrect size, a badly rounded head or excessive force.

Check 18mm fastener fit before buying

An 18mm spanner fits an appropriately shaped fastener with an 18mm across-flats hex head or nut. The spanner size is determined by the width across the hex flats, not automatically by the bolt's thread designation. Fastener head sizes can vary by standard or assembly, so check the actual head or the equipment drawing before placing a multi-pack order.
Do not substitute a 17mm or 19mm spanner simply because the tools appear similar. A loose or incorrectly sized fit can damage the fastener, while a tool that is too small will not seat correctly. Verify that the ring end can reach the fastener and that there is enough clearance for the ratchet head and handle.

Suitable workshop and maintenance tasks

This model is relevant for routine fastening of compatible 18mm hex bolts and nuts during mechanical maintenance, assembly work, equipment servicing and automotive repair. Examples of potential use include accessible mounting brackets, removable machine guards, workshop fixtures and service components, provided the actual fastener head is 18mm and the required torque is appropriate for a hand spanner.
For a procurement team, a ten-piece pack may suit several technicians using the same common head size. For a service technician, the key decision is whether the assembly provides room for the ratcheting ring end and whether reversible movement will reduce repeated tool repositioning. The same tool may not be the right choice for every fastener in a mixed-size assembly.

Limitations and alternatives

For a heavily seized fastener or high breakaway force, use a correctly rated loosening tool rather than forcing the ratchet mechanism. Do not strike the spanner, use it with a powered impact driver or add a pipe to increase leverage. Avoid loading the ring head while it is only partly seated.
If the job specifies a tightening torque, use a suitable calibrated torque wrench to achieve the specified setting. A conventional fixed spanner may be adequate where handle clearance is generous and ratcheting speed is not important; a socket and ratchet may be preferable where a straight-on drive and suitable access are available. Choose the tool around the fastener, clearance and load requirements, not merely the name of the product class.

Madhya Pradesh delivery and quantity planning

Enter the destination Madhya Pradesh PIN code to check the delivery details applicable to your address. Under Indus MegaMart's ordering policy, customers can place an order and complete payment even when the available stock is less than the requested quantity or currently zero.
Where the order quantity is within available stock, the stated delivery timeline is within 7 days. When the ordered quantity exceeds available stock, including when stock is zero, the timeline is 7–14 days. Delivery remains subject to confirmation of destination serviceability and the applicable order details.
For planned maintenance shutdowns or multi-site tool requirements, check the quantity and delivery conditions before confirming the purchase so the order matches the work schedule.

Care and use of the ratcheting mechanism

Seat the correct 18mm end squarely on the fastener. Keep the head and ratchet area clean, avoid contaminating the mechanism with abrasive debris and store the spanners dry after use. If the tool slips, binds, or the fastener is already rounded, stop and inspect the fit instead of increasing force. Routine careful handling helps preserve reliable engagement during repeated work.

Frequently asked questions

1. Is STMT89943-8B an 18mm spanner or an 18-piece set?

STMT89943-8B is an 18mm ratcheting spanner model. The Indus MegaMart listing offers a pack of 10 identical 18mm spanners; “18mm” refers to size, not the number of tools.

2. Does the spanner have both open and ring ends?

Yes. It is a combination design with an open jaw at one end and a ratcheting ring at the other.

3. Is the ratcheting action reversible?

Yes. The ratcheting end is described as reversible, allowing use for tightening and loosening with the appropriate direction selected.

4. What does the 5° increment mean?

It is the approximate angle of handle movement needed for the ratchet to advance through a stroke. It does not specify the maximum tightening torque.

5. Can this spanner be used on an M12 bolt?

Only if the actual nut or bolt head measures 18mm across flats and the tool is otherwise suitable for the task. Thread size alone is not enough to establish the correct spanner size.

6. Can I buy just one piece from this listing?

The Indus MegaMart offer shown for this model is a ten-piece pack. Check the exact listing and purchase quantity options rather than assuming a single loose piece is sold.

7. Can I order if available stock is lower than my required quantity?

Yes. Indus MegaMart accepts orders and payment even when stock is insufficient or zero. The delivery timeline is within 7 days for quantity covered by available stock and 7–14 days when the ordered quantity exceeds stock, subject to delivery details for the address.

8. Does Indus MegaMart provide a GST invoice?

Indus MegaMart's generated purchase invoices contain the company's GST number. Review the current product price and tax breakdown before checkout.

9. What warranty or return conditions apply?

Check the applicable warranty and return terms on the exact product listing or confirm them with the seller before ordering. A warranty shown by a different retailer does not establish the terms of this offer.
