STANLEY STMT96937 Open-End Slogging Spanner 32mm - Lucknow

STANLEY STMT96937 — Key Specifications

What Does the 32 mm Spanner Size Refer To?

32 mm is the nominal open-jaw dimension across the flats of an external-hex nut or bolt head. It does not tell you the bolt's thread diameter. Measure the fastener head first and reject a rounded, corroded or deformed head that prevents full jaw seating. A 30 mm or 34 mm alternative is not the correct 32 mm replacement.

When to Select an Open-End Slogging Spanner

This form is relevant to suitable industrial maintenance or fabrication work when the fastener can be approached from the side, but a ring-type head cannot pass around it. In certain controlled heavy-machinery service tasks, a qualified technician may use the designated striking head to apply hammer-assisted turning force, subject to site risk assessment and equipment instructions.
For jobs requiring a specified final tightening torque, use properly rated torque-controlled equipment. A slogging spanner does not read or certify a torque value, and impact force is not a substitute for measured final torque.

Important Selection and Safety Checks

1. Confirm the jaw: Measure the fastener's external hex head across flats; use this tool only for a compatible 32 mm head with firm jaw engagement.
2. Check access and reaction: Ensure the wrench sits squarely, the striking direction is controlled, and nearby equipment/personnel are protected from possible movement.
3. Inspect the tool and worksite: Reject tools with damaged, opened, cracked or mushroomed jaws/striking faces, and follow authorised plant shutdown and PPE requirements.
4. Strike only as specified: Use the wrench's designated striking face under an approved procedure and appropriate striking equipment. Never hammer a standard wrench, add an improvised cheater pipe or treat striking as a calibrated torque measurement.

32 mm Open-End vs Ring-End Slogging vs Standard Spanner

Do not order by “32 mm” alone. Confirm open-end slogging and STMT96937 on the purchase order. The separate STANLEY catalogue reference 96-938-23 must not be assumed interchangeable without manufacturer confirmation.

Lucknow Ordering, Quantity and Delivery Checks

The seller describes delivery within seven days for quantities that do not exceed available stock, but 7–14 days when ordered quantity exceeds available stock. With zero displayed stock, a positive order exceeds that snapshot inventory; confirm current acceptance, live stock, pincode coverage, seller quantity/pack and delivery promise at checkout before relying on the window.
For Lucknow industrial buyers requiring multiple units, share the exact part number, required pieces, site pincode, GST invoicing details and preferred delivery date. Request a quotation for project quantities.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Is STMT96937 a 32 mm spanner?

Yes. It is a 32 mm nominal open-end slogging spanner for a properly fitting external-hex fastener. The size does not identify bolt thread diameter.

2. Can I strike STMT96937 with a hammer?

It is designed as a purpose-built striking/slogging wrench. Striking is appropriate only on the designated striking face using approved tools and a worksite procedure. Never hit a conventional open-end spanner.

3. Can it measure a specified tightening torque?

No. It is not a torque wrench and has no verified calibrated reading. Use an appropriate torque tool when controlled final tightening is required.

4. Is STMT96937 the same as 96-938-23?

They appear as separate catalogue codes for 32 mm open-end slogging designs. Manufacturer-confirmed interchangeability was not established; order the exact specified part number.

5. How much does it cost including GST?

Indus MegaMart displayed ₹546 inclusive of 18% GST on 31 October 2026 (₹463 + ₹83 GST as displayed). Verify the current price, exact selling unit and final payable amount at checkout.

6. Can I order when stock shows zero?

The National PDP displays Add to Cart and a conditional 7–14-day window when the ordered quantity exceeds stock. Actual order processing, availability and delivery to a Lucknow pincode require seller confirmation.

7. Can I get a bulk supply quotation for Lucknow?

You can submit a quotation request specifying STMT96937, unit count, delivery pincode, GST invoicing requirements and needed date. Price, acceptance and delivery are subject to the seller's written confirmation.
