STANLEY 72-062 Double-Ended Open-Jaw CRV Spanner - 36x41mm in Kerala

Where this double open-end spanner fits

For a confirmed 36×41mm configuration, one end fits fasteners with a 36mm across-flats head and the other fits a 41mm across-flats head. The jaw size does not directly identify the bolt’s nominal thread diameter. Verify the width across the opposing flat faces of the fastener using the equipment specification or a measuring instrument; do not rely on an M-size assumption alone.
The open-ended format is useful when the top of a nut is obstructed, when a surrounding assembly prevents a ring-end tool from passing over the fastener, or when the user needs to reposition the jaw between turns. It engages two sides of a hexagonal fastener, rather than surrounding the head like a ring or socket wrench. That difference affects the choice of tool for high-load or damaged fasteners.

Product identification and technical information

Do not rely on a particular overall length, tool weight, certified torque capacity or dimensional tolerance until the exact physical item and manufacturer documentation have been checked. Supplier listings for 72-062 disagree about length, and general tightening examples are not product-specific rated torque values.

Suitable industrial purchasing contexts

Maintenance and repair teams

The tool class is relevant to machinery maintenance, fabrication workshops and plant repair activities where suitably sized external hexagonal fasteners must be loosened or tightened. The decisive requirement is the actual jaw size and access around the fastener—not a general claim that a tool is suitable for every industrial installation.

Equipment and project procurement

Procurement buyers can use model 72-062 to cross-check quotations, but should request confirmation that the delivered spanner bears the required jaw sizes. This is especially important when an equipment bill of materials specifies 36×41mm and the manufacturer’s current online product label differs. For repeat procurement, record the confirmed size pair, exact model and selling-unit quantity on the purchase order.

How to choose the right-hand tool

An open-jaw spanner is useful for side access and for working with fittings where a closed ring cannot be passed over the top. A ring-end spanner or correctly sized socket usually provides more surrounding contact with the fastener and may be better suited to securely gripping stubborn or heavily loaded nuts. For a specified tightening torque, use a calibrated torque wrench and the equipment maker's procedure. This hand spanner does not have a verified torque rating that would justify a particular newton-metre claim.
Make sure the jaws are fully seated on clean, undamaged flats. Do not strike the tool, extend its handle with an improvised pipe or use it on rounded fastener heads. Maintain stable body positioning when applying force, and remove tools showing jaw spreading, cracks or excessive wear.

Ordering for Kerala: price, stock and delivery

Indus MegaMart publishes the current product price including GST on its National Product Detail Page. Use that live product price for the Kerala city page as well; do not compare it directly with a competitor's five-piece pack or minimum-order quotation without normalising the order quantity. Confirm whether the merchant's displayed unit is one spanner or a pack before paying, because the National listing does not clearly identify an included-piece count.
Orders and payments are accepted even when the displayed available stock is zero. Under Indus MegaMart's stated ordering policy, delivery is within seven days when the requested quantity is within available stock, and within 7–14 days when the requested quantity exceeds available stock, including when stock is zero. Check Kerala delivery serviceability using the product page's pincode facility. Do not interpret these timelines as a guarantee of immediate local warehouse stock or same-day dispatch.
Indus MegaMart's order documentation includes its company GST number. For company procurement, verify the invoice and delivery particulars at checkout and retain the confirmed tool specification on your purchase record.

Frequently asked questions

1. Is STANLEY 72-062 a 36×41mm spanner?

Indus MegaMart and multiple Indian retailers list it as 36×41mm, but STANLEY’s current Indian manufacturer page labels the same model 34×36mm. Confirm the jaw markings on the physical product before relying on the 41mm size.

2. Does 36mm or 41mm refer to the bolt thread diameter?

No. A spanner's marked size refers to the width across the flats of the nut or bolt head. The bolt's nominal thread size must be determined separately from the equipment specification.

3. Is it made of chrome vanadium steel?

Yes. The manufacturer's model page identifies forged chrome vanadium steel construction. The precise surface appearance should be checked against the delivered unit rather than assumed from different retailer descriptions.

4. Is the listed price for one spanner or multiple spanners?

The National listing does not clearly specify the included quantity. Confirm the exact selling unit in the product selector or with Indus MegaMart before placing an order. Some other sellers offer individual pieces, while others use packs or minimum-order quantities.

5. Can I order if available stock is zero?

Yes. Under the merchant's stated policy, orders and payments remain accepted when current available stock is zero, and the applicable delivery window is 7–14 days.

6. Can this spanner be used with an extension bar or for a particular torque?

Do not use an improvised extension or treat a sample torque calculation as a certified rating. For controlled tightening, follow the equipment manufacturer's instructions and use a properly rated, calibrated torque wrench.

7. How do I check delivery in Kerala?

Enter your delivery pincode on the exact National Product Detail Page and review the available delivery information for your order quantity.
