Why Choose the 12×13mm Double Open-End Design?

Two adjacent wrench sizes in one hand tool

With a 12 mm jaw and a 13 mm jaw on opposite ends, model 70-369E covers two different metric hex-head dimensions. The sizes describe the across-flats measurement of the fastener head, not the bolt's threaded diameter. Check the actual nut or bolt head before ordering; an M8 or M10 thread label by itself does not prove which jaw fits.

Open access for routine servicing

An open jaw approaches a nut or bolt from the side, which can help where the fastener cannot be approached axially by a socket or fully surrounded by a ring end. It is useful for repeated adjustments on accessible hexagonal fasteners during equipment inspections, assembly and repair. Apply force only after the correct jaw is seated fully and squarely on the fastener.

Forged Cr-V construction and protective finish

STANLEY specifies forged chrome-vanadium steel and a chrome protective finish for this model. The finish helps resist corrosion during normal storage and use. It does not make the tool electrically insulated or suitable for use with impact equipment.

Typical Workshop and Industrial Applications

This 12×13mm spanner may suit routine work on machinery covers, guards, brackets, fixtures and serviceable equipment where the actual hex fastener measures 12 mm or 13 mm across flats. It can be included in tool allocations for maintenance technicians, mechanical fitters, automotive service teams and plant workshops. Suitability depends on the fastener's dimensions, condition, access and tightening requirements; no specific machine compatibility is implied.
A ten-piece pack is helpful when the same size pairing appears repeatedly in an organization's maintenance tool list. Buyers requiring multiple different sizes should instead review a mixed-size spanner assortment through the spanners category.

Check Fit and Working Limits Before Ordering

This is a double open-ended tool: neither end is a closed ring or ratcheting head. For a damaged or rounded nut, a high-load fastening operation, or a joint requiring a specified tightening torque, select an appropriate alternative and follow the equipment manufacturer's procedure. This spanner is not a calibrated torque wrench. Do not add extension pipes, strike the handle or use the tool as an electrical-insulated wrench. For normal use, keep the correct jaw fully engaged, inspect its condition, and avoid excessive side loading.
If your task involves a 12 mm or 13 mm fastener but access or required torque differs, explore other STANLEY tools or the broader hand tools range before purchasing.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What sizes does STANLEY 70-369E fit?

It has a 12 mm open jaw and a 13 mm open jaw. Match either end to the actual across-flats size of the nut or bolt head.

2. Is 70-369E a combination spanner with a ring end?

No. Model 70-369E is a double open-end spanner. Both ends are open jaws of different sizes; neither is a ring end.

3. Does the Indus MegaMart pack contain different spanner sizes?

No. The listed pack contains 10 matching STANLEY 70-369E spanners, each with the same 12×13 mm jaw pairing.

4. Is the displayed price for one spanner or one pack?

The Indus MegaMart offer is priced for the listed pack of 10. Check the current GST-inclusive pack amount on the product page rather than treating the displayed total as a single-piece price.

5. Can I still order when the available stock shows zero?

Yes. Indus MegaMart's order policy permits ordering and payment at zero displayed stock; an order that exceeds available stock follows the 7–14-day delivery window, subject to the delivery address being serviceable.

6. Is this tool made from chrome-vanadium steel?

Yes. STANLEY identifies forged chrome-vanadium steel construction and a protective chrome finish for model 70-369E.

7. Does a 12×13 mm spanner automatically fit M8 and M10 bolts?

No. Thread size and hex-head size are different measurements, and head dimensions can vary by standard or product. Measure the fastener across flats and use the matching 12 mm or 13 mm jaw.

8. Can the spanner be used to apply a specified torque?

It can be used for ordinary manual fastening, but it is not a calibrated torque tool. When an exact tightening torque is required, use a suitable torque wrench and the equipment manufacturer's procedure.

9. Does STANLEY provide a warranty for model 70-369E?

STANLEY lists a one-year limited warranty for the individual 70-369E spanner. Warranty coverage is governed by the manufacturer's terms.
