Confirm the exact size and order quantity

A 36×41mm spanner offers a 36mm closed ring at one end and a 41mm closed ring at the other. These measurements refer to the distance across opposite flats of the nut or bolt head—not the nominal threaded bolt diameter. Measure the fastener or consult its drawing rather than selecting a ring spanner solely by thread designation. If purchasing against a specified part number, verify both the 72-068 marking and the 36/41mm end markings before dispatch or installation. Also confirm how many individual spanners are included in the seller's selected order unit; a catalogue minimum-order quantity is not automatically a multi-piece pack.

Technical Features of the 36×41mm Deep-Offset Ring Spanner

• Brand and offered model: STANLEY, 72-068.
• Listed ring sizes: 36mm × 41mm, metric.
• Wrench type: double-ended closed-ring / box-end spanner.
• Ring geometry: bi-hexagonal (12-point) at each end.
• Handle shape: deep offset, with a 45° offset shown in the STANLEY-branded dimensional sheet.
• Construction material: chrome-vanadium (Cr-V) steel.
• Surface finish: matt finish.
• Published overall length: 436mm.

The 436mm dimension describes the overall tool length, not its working torque rating. Actual access depends on the depth of the surrounding recess and the clearance needed to seat the ring fully. For a drawing-controlled or tolerance-critical job, confirm the product dimensions and markings against the supplied tool.

Why the 12-point closed rings matter

A bi-hex ring has 12 engagement positions around a six-sided fastener, allowing repositioning in smaller angular steps than a conventional six-point profile. The closed ring surrounds the fastener and is useful where an open jaw would have less contact. Always ensure the ring sits completely on an undamaged, correctly sized nut or bolt head; the extra engagement positions do not make an incorrectly sized wrench safe.

Where the deep offset helps

The raised geometry places the handle away from the plane of the ring head. This can improve hand clearance above a flange, next to a housing or around adjacent hardware. It is not a substitute for checking the actual offset clearance at the job site: a deeply recessed fastener may still require a properly selected socket or another approved tool.

Suitable Maintenance and Fastening Tasks

Industrial uses

This large-format ring spanner may suit planned work on industrial machinery, mechanical assemblies, heavy equipment and fabrication installations where 36mm or 41mm across-flats fasteners are actually specified. Maintenance buyers may select it for repeated manual fastening jobs where a double-ended ring wrench is more convenient than carrying two separate sizes. These are typical application categories, not proof of suitability for a particular machine or assembly.

Selection limits and safe handling

Use the spanner for manual wrenching only, within the equipment or fastener manufacturer's approved procedure. It is not a calibrated torque wrench, so do not use it as evidence of achieving a specified tightening torque. Do not strike the ring or extend its handle with a pipe unless the relevant tool manufacturer has specifically authorized that method. For impact work, use an impact-rated tool designed for the operation. If a nut is rounded, seized or inaccessible to the full ring, choose a more suitable removal method instead of forcing the wrench.

Price, GST, Stock and Delivery for Guwahati Buyers

The STANLEY 72-068 listing provides the current product price and GST presentation. Check whether your requested quantity means individual pieces or another listed selling unit before paying; the manufacturer's catalogue order multiple and the merchant's selling unit can differ. Indus MegaMart purchase invoices include the company's GST number for business records.
For delivery, enter the actual Guwahati destination PIN code on the product page. Under Indus MegaMart's order policy, where the requested quantity is within available stock, delivery is within 7 days; where the order exceeds available stock—including when stock is zero—delivery is within 7–14 days, subject to serviceability of the delivery address. Orders and payments may still proceed with zero currently available stock. Check the displayed checkout details for the applicable order and destination rather than assuming local warehouse stock or immediate dispatch.
For planned shutdown work or multi-location maintenance, verify the number of spanners, intended delivery PIN code and actual required date before placing your order. Explore other sizes through the spanners range or visit the STANLEY product range if 36mm and 41mm are not the required across-flats dimensions.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Is STANLEY 72-068 a 36×41mm ring spanner?

The Indus MegaMart listing and a STANLEY-branded dimensional sheet identify the offered 72-068 as 36×41mm. Because online manufacturer information is not wholly consistent on this model-to-size pairing, buyers ordering to a strict parts list should have the product and end markings verified before acceptance.

2. What does 36×41mm mean?

One ring fits a correctly sized 36mm across-flats hexagon and the other a 41mm across-flats hexagon. These are wrench-opening dimensions, not nominal bolt-thread sizes.

3. How is a deep-offset ring spanner different from a flat ring spanner?

A deep-offset spanner lifts the handle away from the fastener's plane, which can help create clearance over raised surfaces or nearby hardware. Whether it reaches a particular recess depends on the space available around the fastener.

4. Is it a 12-point spanner?

Yes. Bi-hex refers to the 12-point ring profile. Both ends remain closed rings; this is not an open-end wrench.

5. Is the listed price for one spanner or a pack?

Check the currently selected order unit on the product listing or confirm it with Indus MegaMart before checkout. A manufacturer's catalogue MOQ does not, by itself, establish that a retail listing contains multiple tools.

6. Can I place an order when the listing shows zero stock?

Yes. Indus MegaMart's policy allows orders and payment even when stock is zero. In that case, the stated delivery window is 7–14 days, subject to destination serviceability.

7. Can the spanner be used for impact tightening or measured torque?

No. It is a manual ring spanner, not an impact-rated substitute or a calibrated torque-measurement tool. Follow the fastener manufacturer's specified tightening procedure when controlled torque is required.

8. Will the invoice include GST details?

Indus MegaMart purchase invoices include the company's GST number. The current GST treatment and payable total should be reviewed on the exact product page before ordering.
