STANLEY STMT96939 36 mm Open-End Slogging Spanner in Greater Noida

Exact Product Specifications

The catalogue establishes the exact model, type and jaw size. Overall length, weight, exact alloy grade, strength rating, standardised certification and permissible hammer energy were not independently confirmed in manufacturer data reviewed for this SKU. Do not rely on a guessed torque capacity or dimensional value when specifying the tool for a critical job.

Where a 36 mm Open-End Slogging Spanner Fits

The open jaw permits side entry around an accessible hexagonal fastener when a ring-end tool cannot be slipped over the top. In site maintenance, applications may include suitably sized nuts on industrial equipment, plant assemblies, steelwork and mechanical installations. Actual suitability depends on the fastener geometry, sufficient clearance for the tool and striking operation, and the site's approved maintenance procedure.
The stated 36 mm is the distance across opposite flats of the nut or bolt head, not the bolt-thread diameter. Do not assume an M24 or another thread designation always requires this jaw size; standards and head designs vary. Measure the hex head or check the fastener drawing before ordering.

Selection Checklist Before Ordering

• Exact code: confirm STMT96939, not a similarly named STANLEY item or a different-size sibling.
• Across-flats fit: measure the head or nut as 36 mm and check undamaged flats.
• Access: ensure the open jaw can sit fully on the fastening surface, and the striking end has sufficient working room.
• Tool choice: select a ring-end slogging spanner when full enclosure is practical; choose a calibrated torque tool for specified final torque.
• Safety: inspect the spanner and fastener, use the correct striking method and PPE under applicable site instructions; do not use an extension pipe.
• Buying details: check quantity, delivered price, GST billing and the Greater Noida delivery pincode on the live exact-product page.

Open-End Slogging vs Ring-End Slogging vs Standard Spanner

The open-end slogging spanner is not an electrically insulated hand tool and is not a calibrated torque-measuring device. Using it with a hammer does not imply a certified maximum torque or a guarantee against fastener damage.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the jaw size of STANLEY STMT96939?

The nominal open-jaw size is 36 mm for a suitably sized hexagonal fastener measured across opposite flats.

2. Can I buy this 36 mm slogging spanner for delivery in Greater Noida?

Indus MegaMart offers the product on its national page and supports Greater Noida-NCR industrial procurement. Check delivery eligibility and the quoted details by entering your specific Greater Noida pincode on the exact product page.

3. How does an open-end slogging spanner differ from a ring-end version?

An open end can approach a hex fastener from the side. A ring-end version surrounds the head more fully but needs the necessary access. Choose based on joint geometry and the approved striking method.

4. Can STMT96939 be used to achieve a specified torque value?

No verified calibrated torque output is supplied for this striking spanner. For a specified final tightening torque, use the appropriate calibrated equipment and procedure.

5. Is 36 mm the same as a 36 mm bolt-thread diameter?

No. The 36 mm identifies the jaw opening across the flats of a matching nut or bolt head, not the threaded shank diameter.

6. Is the spanner suitable for powered impact tools or live electrical work?

It is a hand striking spanner, not a powered impact-wrench attachment and not an electrically insulated tool. Do not use it for live electrical work.

7. What material is specified for this exact model?

An exact-model retailer listing describes it as chrome vanadium steel. If a project requires a mill certificate, exact grade or independent test document, request the appropriate manufacturer documentation rather than relying on a generic material label.

8. What does the spanner weigh, and how long is it?

A third-party seller lists measurements, but a manufacturer-confirmed STMT96939 dimensional drawing was not available in the checked evidence. Request a verified exact-SKU datasheet before using length or weight in a technical tender.

9. Can I order more pieces than the displayed stock?

Under the supplied Indus MegaMart order policy, orders and payments remain possible even if the requested quantity exceeds visible stock. The delivery window changes to 7–14 days for the quantity above stock.

10. What should I verify before placing a bulk industrial order?

Confirm STMT96939, 36 mm across-flats fitment, quantity, Greater Noida delivery pincode, live price, GST billing requirements and any approved technical documentation needed by your project.
