STANLEY 1-87-430 Chrome Plated Adjustable Spanner 100mm (4 Inch) in Erode

Check Price and Order Quantity Before Buying

Identify the item as STANLEY 1-87-430, chrome plated, 100 mm / 4 inch before placing your order. Indus MegaMart shows the current GST-inclusive price and tax breakup on the exact product listing. Check the displayed quantity selection and selling unit carefully: manufacturer catalogue order quantities and a competing retailer's multipack are not necessarily the same as the unit sold through this listing.
For a Erode workshop buying several spanners for mobile toolkits or planned maintenance, establish the required number of tools and verify the seller's chargeable quantity in the checkout summary. You can proceed to the exact STANLEY 1-87-430 product listing rather than ordering a similar-looking model with a different finish or length.

Verified Specifications and Fit

The 13 mm jaw opening is the important compatibility check: it refers to the span across the flats of the nut or bolt head the jaws need to grip, not the nominal thread diameter of a bolt. Measure the actual fastener head and confirm enough surrounding clearance for the wrench head to engage. The 31 mm measurement refers to a separate head dimension on the product chart, not the jaw capacity.

Compact Jaw Adjustment for Service Work

The knurled wheel brings the movable jaw against different small fastener widths, allowing one hand tool to cover multiple suitable hex sizes. A built-in tension spring helps stabilise the adjustable jaw. The compact chrome-plated body is straightforward to keep in a portable tool roll, and the metric scale can help with setting the opening before use.
Chrome plating provides a corrosion-resistant surface, but it does not make the tool rust-proof under every storage condition. Wipe the spanner dry after use, keep debris out of the adjustment wheel and store it away from prolonged moisture exposure.

Where This 4-Inch Spanner Fits

The 1-87-430 is best considered for light-duty, access-limited tasks involving small hexagonal fasteners: instrument and panel servicing, appliance assemblies, portable repair kits and general maintenance of small fittings. Its short length makes storage and approach easier where there is limited working room; it also provides less leverage than a larger spanner.
For a procurement list, check all three constraints together: the fastener's across-flat dimension, the available hand/tool clearance and the tightening force needed. A suitable 13 mm opening does not mean the tool is appropriate for every bolt with a head of that width.

Choosing the Right Wrench and Using It Correctly

Choose the 100 mm adjustable model when compact access and occasional changes between compatible fastener sizes matter. Choose a longer adjustable spanner when more reach or leverage is required and the working space permits. For repeated work on one known fastener size, especially demanding tightening or loosening, a correctly sized fixed spanner or socket may be the better choice. A calibrated torque wrench is required when the work instruction specifies an exact tightening torque.
Set the movable jaw snugly against the fastener flats, use full jaw engagement and apply smooth, controlled force. Do not extend the handle with a pipe, hammer on it or treat this small adjustable spanner as an impact tool. Check for damaged fastener corners or excessive jaw play before applying load.

Erode PIN-Code Delivery and Business Procurement

Erode buyers can check destination-specific delivery details by entering the delivery PIN code on the Indus MegaMart listing. Orders and payment are accepted even when the displayed available stock is zero. Under the applicable ordering policy, when the requested quantity is within available stock, the delivery window is within 7 days; when the quantity exceeds available stock, including a zero-stock situation, delivery is within 7–14 days. Confirm address serviceability and current order details before paying.
For business orders, purchase invoices include the company's GST number. If you are equipping multiple technicians, identify the exact model and quantity in your procurement request, and review the order summary for the seller's unit of sale. You can browse more STANLEY hand tools and related spanners and wrenches, or return to the wider hand-tools category if this small adjustable wrench is not the correct fit.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What size is STANLEY 1-87-430, and how wide can its jaw open?

It is a 100 mm (4-inch) adjustable spanner, model 1-87-430, with a maximum jaw opening of 13 mm. Measure the fastener across its flats before choosing it.

2. Is STANLEY 1-87-430 chrome plated or phosphate finished?

This exact model is chrome plated. Check the part number, because other STANLEY adjustable spanners are sold in different finishes and sizes.

3. Is the tool suitable for heavy tightening or a specified torque setting?

No specific torque rating is established for this model here. Its compact size suits light fastening tasks, not heavy structural loading. Use the correctly rated tool or a torque wrench for work requiring controlled tightening torque.

4. Is the listed price for one piece or a pack of six?

The Indus MegaMart product listing should be checked for its current chargeable selling unit and selected quantity before payment. A six-piece quantity shown in a manufacturer catalogue or on another seller's listing does not establish the pack size sold by Indus MegaMart.

5. Can I order the spanner when the website displays zero available stock?

Yes. Indus MegaMart accepts orders and payments even at zero displayed stock. When stock is insufficient, the applicable delivery window is 7–14 days, subject to the delivery destination being serviceable.

6. How do I check delivery to my Erode address?

Enter your Erode delivery PIN code in the product page's delivery checker, then review the details shown for your location and ordered quantity.

7. Will I receive a GST invoice for a business purchase?

The generated purchase invoice contains Indus MegaMart's GST number. Review the GST-inclusive price and quantity in the order summary before completing payment.

8. Can this adjustable spanner replace several fixed-size spanners?

It can serve several small compatible hex-head fastener widths up to its 13 mm jaw opening, making it practical for light maintenance toolkits. It does not replace a correctly sized fixed spanner for every high-force or precision-torque job.
