STANLEY STMT87435-8 Adjustable Spanner 375mm Chrome Plated in Durgapur

Order STMT87435-8 — Current Price, GST and Quantity

The manufacturer's part number is STMT87435-8, identifying the 375mm chrome-plated adjustable spanner, not a 300mm variant, a phosphate-finish alternative or a fixed-size wrench. STANLEY lists one spanner as the contents of an individual product. Its catalogue also refers to a four-piece trade MOQ; a trade-pack reference is not proof of Indus MegaMart's sale unit or checkout minimum. Confirm the selling unit, number of pieces and final quantity in the actual order summary.
The exact National Product Detail Page displays the current product price with its GST breakup, an Add to Cart action and a delivery-pincode field. Compare quotations on the same item count and GST basis, especially when sourcing tools for more than one maintenance technician.

STANLEY STMT87435-8 — Verified Technical Specifications

The 46mm opening measures the greatest separation of the jaw faces. It is not the threaded diameter of a bolt, and it does not establish a safe tightening torque. The 103mm head dimension comes from STANLEY's labelled drawing and is a separate measurement. The 1.42kg weight is for one individual tool, not a four-piece retail pack or the shipping carton.

Why Choose a 375mm Adjustable Spanner?

The STMT87435-8 combines the ability to adjust to different suitably shaped fastener heads with a 375mm nominal handle length. It can be useful in industrial servicing when an operator must work on several large hexagonal nuts or bolt heads without repeatedly changing fixed-size spanners. Its wider jaw capacity matters just as much as handle length: a long tool with an undersized jaw will not fit the required head.
Relevant examples include accessible equipment anchor nuts, flange fasteners, structural assembly hardware and machinery mounting bolts. These are application examples, not an assertion that every such assembly permits an adjustable wrench. Always follow the equipment manufacturer's instructions and check the exact head size, tightening requirement and working clearance.

Check the Fastener and the Swing Clearance

Measure the nut or bolt head across its flats, rather than using the bolt's nominal thread size as the wrench-size reference. Make sure the required across-flats measurement does not exceed 46mm. The larger head and longer handle also need sufficient access around nearby pipework, guards and other components. Close the jaws snugly against the fastener and keep the wrench aligned during controlled manual turning.
Do not apply impact blows, add a pipe to the handle or assume the extra length creates a manufacturer-approved torque rating. Stop if the jaws slip or begin to round the head. For repeated high-load turning, select a properly fitting ring or socket wrench; for a specified torque value, use a calibrated torque wrench.

Chrome Finish, Grip Adjustment and Practical Limits

The forged chrome-vanadium steel construction and chrome-plated finish suit ordinary workshop conditions when the tool is cleaned and stored appropriately. The knurled adjuster changes the jaw opening, while the tension spring helps steady the movable jaw. Laser-etched SAE and metric markings assist preliminary setting; they do not replace checking the actual fit on the fastener.
The STMT87435-8 is not a ratcheting wrench, not a toothed pipe wrench and not a certified electrically insulated tool. Smooth jaws are intended for suitable flats, not for biting into round pipe. Use a purpose-designed pipe wrench for round pipe gripping and an appropriately certified insulated tool where electrical safety procedures require one.

Compare 375mm with 300mm and 250mm Alternatives

Choose by head width, access, handling and approved tightening method, not by the assumption that longer automatically means safer or stronger. The exact STMT87435-8 has a 46mm maximum opening. If a smaller wrench fits the head and the available swing space, its shorter handle may be easier to use; if the job needs a 46mm opening, verify that an alternative actually provides that capacity. Never apply another model's specifications to this SKU.

Durgapur Ordering, Delivery and Procurement Records

For a Durgapur order, enter the receiving delivery pincode on Indus MegaMart's exact product page and review the location-specific service information at checkout. A national inventory display does not demonstrate that stock is held inside Durgapur.
Under Indus MegaMart's stated order policy, orders and payments can be placed even if the selected quantity exceeds stock, including when the available stock is zero. For quantities within available stock, its stated delivery period is within 7 days. For quantities greater than available stock or when stock is zero, its stated delivery window is 7–14 days. Verify the delivery address and current order terms before payment rather than assuming immediate dispatch.
If a shorter wrench or fixed-size tool is more appropriate, explore other spanners and wrenches, the wider STANLEY range, or hand tools.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the maximum jaw opening of STMT87435-8?

The exact-model STANLEY specification chart states 46mm. Measure the fastener head across the parallel flats and allow enough surrounding space for the jaws and handle to move safely.

2. Is STMT87435-8 a 375mm or 381mm wrench?

STANLEY sells this item as a nominal 375mm (15-inch) spanner. Fifteen inches converts mathematically to 381mm, but the manufacturer's nominal catalogue size for this model is 375mm. Use the model number and nominal size when ordering.

3. What are the weight and head dimensions?

The manufacturer chart lists 1.42kg per individual wrench and a separately labelled 103mm head dimension B. Neither number describes the maximum jaw opening, which is 46mm.

4. Do I receive four spanners when I buy one STMT87435-8?

Not necessarily. STANLEY's individual-product contents specify one wrench; the manufacturer chart lists four as a trade MOQ, and some retailers separately sell packs of four. Confirm the actual Indus MegaMart sale unit, selected quantity and checkout total before purchasing.

5. Is the chrome-plated wrench suitable for pipe gripping or live electrical work?

It is intended for suitably shaped fastener flats. It is not a toothed pipe wrench and has no verified insulating certification for live electrical work. Select a purpose-rated tool for either application.

6. Can the longer handle be used to apply a specified tightening torque?

A longer handle can provide mechanical leverage, but STMT87435-8 is not a calibrated torque wrench and has no verified model-specific rated tightening-torque value in the cited manufacturer chart. Use the tightening tool and method specified for the equipment.

7. Can I still place an order if available stock is zero?

Yes. Indus MegaMart's stated policy accepts orders and payment at zero stock. For zero-stock orders, its stated delivery period is 7–14 days, with the receiving pincode and final order details to be checked during purchase.

8. How do I check the price, GST and Durgapur delivery details?

Open the exact STMT87435-8 National Product Detail Page, check the current GST-inclusive price and tax breakup, confirm your selected quantity and enter the Durgapur delivery pincode. The generated purchase invoice contains Indus MegaMart's company GST number.
